The Holidays-Voices Drifting

Sydney’s The Holidays are following up their award-winning debut Post Paradise with a new LP in 2014. The first taste of that comes in “Voices Drifting”, another great summer tune.

Aside from the questionable name choice,  makes a good introduction with its appropriate summertime tune, titled “Time”. Formed in London, founding members Ben and Leo have been writing music for years, but will perform live for the first time in September when they release their debut EP, which shares the same name as this track.

Ski Lodge-Boy

New York’s Ski Lodge makes some 70′s inspired indie pop. Directed by Tucker Bliss and Beau Burrows, the video plays like a 70s sci fi summer dream filled with snacks from 7-11, lassoing clouds in the park and makeouts with what I think is an alien by a campfire.

Check out more of the band’s music here and look out for their album “Big Heart” available August 20th via Dovecote Records.

Joel Compass-Astronaut (Ghost Loft Remix)

he angel that is Ghost Loft is back with a new remix of Joel Compass’ “Astronaut.” The appropriately titled song is a worldly R&B jam induced with warm atmospheric electronics to transform it into a space jam, no monstars.

See Ghost Loft on tour this fall with the Neighbourhood and Lovelife.
